Today's been the fourth (and last) day of intense shopping before LA. I had so many stuff to buy! I normally like going shopping: walking through the center of the city, looking at clothes in stores... but four days? Seriously, I wouldn't have another day like those in a long time.
Do you know when you've got to buy something because you really need it? When you've got to find no choice because you can't go back home without it? You're looking for something specific...
That's when you never find it.
During months you've been visiting stores and spotting things you want to buy... and when you go for them, SURPRISE, nothing left. Also, sales just started and the few good things that are left in the shops (GUESS) are not in your size. It's too hot outside, the streets are so crowded and the moment you HAVE TO go shopping, you don't want to
I've been walking through the boiling streets four days in this last 10 days, trying to find everything I needed before leaving for LA.
1. Some days ago, the friend who's coming with me and I spotted in a mall various items we wanted... unfortunately, we didn't have money them (we were supposed to be in a party, but it was lameee) so we arranged to go back two days after.
2. We went to another shopping center to look for those. That shopping center is HUGE, and we entered in every store there... but we found a lot less than the first time. Then we took the subway and moved to the center, where there're more stores, to see if there we found anything else. Wrong. So, exhausted, we decided we'd buy clothes and go back for shoes when the sales started (shoes are SO expensive now!)
3. R (who's going to London tomorrow) and I went -again- for some shopping. That was Tuesday, and it was seriously hot that day. Another pain for my feet, and in the end we even ran out of time...
4. Today. I woke up early to go to the bank and sign some papers, then took the subway to the stores with my friend. It was shoe-shopping this time. Let's say it seems shoes are not on sale, or just 2 €, so quite expensive. Most of the shoes were horrible, and the ones that were nice were not in our sizes. I was lucky to find some great black sandals, but my friend still need a pair... Then bought the plug adaptor and a phone card to call cheaper. Afterwards we got pictures made for the member cards, bus card, etc. I look HORRIBLE! I'm going to take another ones.
But well, I'm proud to say I finished my shopping! I've never been tired about shopping before, but now... Seems like shopping loses fun when it's because of an obligation.
And this is all I've bought during my trips: 3 pairs of shoes (brown leather gladiators, white flats, black sandals) 1 striped bikini 4 shirts (1 red, 1 white, 1 oversize checked, a t-shirt) 1 white&black dress 2 shorts (denim ones and black ones) 1 white summer jacket 1 red handbag a necklace
Yes, I needed 4 days to get those. It was hard to find nice things and not so expensive! I'm so tired now... I think I'll watch some TV.
I hate that! when you find something and then it's gone when you go to get it! I hope you find and get everything you need before your trip. good luck :)
yeah i was looking thru those old photos and old messages and I was just sad. I'm so different now I don't think people see it that way tho, I cut off friendships with those people so now they think i'm abitch. whatever! but thanks i'm STILL studying for my tests haha
oh wow ! thats nice !! i'm doing alright... hoping this week wont end cause its back to school after this week. haha & you? seems like you have tons of plans! & love your dress by the way
haha enjoy! well, not much either, just running some errands and helping in the preparations. its my grandma's birthday this saturday and some relatives are coming over for the weekend :) xo
